Tokyo MEGA post

So Ive been here two days now and taken maybe 200 photos so I thought I better do a post.

Just as we arrived in tokyo it started to snow, REALLY heavy. It dumped about 5 inches that night. We dragged our suitcase through the snow to “mark city” and onto our next train.

We got to our place and kipped down for a good 12hrs after being up 24hrs.

Next day we ventured out to shibuya which is the hip part of town and I saw a few cool bikes on the way.

The best bikes were again there own ones sitting out side unlocked. Each one was an awesome pile of crazy paint, pimp parts and sweets mods, but it was dark and hard to take good pics.

Raddest thing I saw today

This is a tricky one.
On the way into work I saw this rad as home made recumbent car thing in what I think is post olympic parade mode?

rubberband parking brake.

Then when I got to work I saw to things that twisted my persepsion of radness and scale.

On the right is Tims new courier bag that you can fit a whole dead moose in.
And on the left is Jammys new Bob Jackson which suprisingly is a little big for him. (only just tho). Mary is there for scale but is also rad.
Heres it next to a girls bike. Hahahahahahaha

anyway who put Kralice in the dropbox? Its ruling my commutes!

Asha’s Alpinestar

This is the misses old commuter that Ill be getting rid of soon as Ive built her up something lighter and rad’er.
Its a fairly rare Alpinestar Cross Bike that I switched the bars, levers and shifters on. I built up a super cheap dynamo hub and added a old light and rear rack I had lying around. I used the super wide mtb pedals on my Maeda and used old odessey twisted. The fenders and bars were the only new bits.
It rides super nice and looks rad but the old Crmo frame is a bit heavy for lifting up and down stairs.
